Crocodile Roof Shield is a liquid acrylic, waterproofing product for roofs and facades. Applied in a thick layer, it forms a waterproof, flexible film which adapts to the surface changes caused by tension or expansion. Crocodile Roof Shield is an elastomeric, decorative, water proofing agent for protection, restoration, and repair for all types of roofing as well as gutters and other structures. It can bridge small hairline cracks prior to painting over, and can adhere to almost all surfaces, such as: concrete, mortar plasters, brick, concrete blocks, PVC pipe, metal flashing, and etc.

Substrate Preparation

  • Clean the surface to be free from dust, grease, concrete scrap or unknown matter etc.
  • Fill cracks if any on the surface with suitable repairing material. Fill wall border or joints with sealant.
  • Leave the surface dry for at least 3 hours after cleaning.
  • New concrete surface must be at least 28 days
  • New rendered surface must be at least 7 days.
  • Substrates must also be perfectly dry.


Application

  1. When used as a primer, dilute the mixture with 5-10% water and apply, using a roller or brush; leave the primer to dry.
  2. Apply the first coat at an approximate ratio of 0.5 kg.
  3. per sq.m. Allow a minimum drying time of 4 hours. Once the first coat had dried, a second coat should be applied, at the same ratio.
  4. Fiber mesh or polyester felt should be applied on the entire substrate on flat roofs after the first coat application.
  5. When finished, the surface should be left to dry at least 48 hours.

Estimated Coverage
1 kg / sq.m. / 2 coats (thickness 0.2-0.4 mm)
Primer : approx. 0.5 kg / sq.m. (dilute 5-10% of water)

Limitation            

  • Substrate on the rooftop should have proper slope to prevent water accumulation.
  • It is not recommended for use in areas of water immersion like swimming pools, spa etc. and do not use where negative hydrostatic pressure is evident.

Caution 

  • Temperature range for use: 10-35 ˚C
  • Paste may cause injury to skin or eyes. Use of rubber gloves, dust masks, eye protection, and other safety equipment is recommended.
  • If contact with eyes occurs, flush immediately and repeatedly with water, and then contact doctor immediately.
  • Avoid contact with skin. Wash thoroughly after handling.
  • Keep out of reach of children

Storage 

  • It should be kept in a dry place and the temperature is not too high to avoid product degradation.
  • Shelf life for 1 year since manufactured date.
