Ultimate Primer is a versatile water-based primer suitable for various applications, including use as a primer for fresh concrete up to two days old. It is effective on fresh and old cement concrete, as well as surfaces with humidity not over 40%.  Ultimate Primer deeply penetrates surfaces, sealing concrete pores to prevent efflorescence and alkali damage on paint film. Additionally, it helps reduce issues such as paint blistering, peeling, which are caused by surface moisture. Ensuring excellent surface adhesion.

Usage Recommendations

Surface Preparation

  • Ensure the surface is dry, strong, and has good adhesion. It should be free of contaminants and any dirt or stains.

Substrate Preparation

Fresh Concrete:

  • After plastering, allow the substrate to dry for at least 2 days or humidity levels not exceeding 40%.
  • Ensure the surface is clean, free from dust, oil, and dirt.
  • If mold and mildew are present on the substrate, clean the surface with Crocodile Biocidal Wash, allowing it to dry for 24 hours before rinsing with water and allowing it to dry.
  • For cracks in the wall less than 0.3 mm wide, fill the gap with Crocodile Wall Putty. For cracks wider than 0.3 mm, apply Crocodile Acrylic Seal Plus, then smooth the crack before painting.

Old Concrete:

  • Remove any dusty or deteriorated surface or old paint by brushing and washing with water before applying the product.
  • If mold and mildew are present on the substrate, clean the surface with Crocodile Biocidal Wash, allowing it to dry for 24 hours before rinsing with water and allowing it to dry.
  • For cracks in the wall less than 0.3 mm wide, fill the gap with Crocodile Wall Putty. For cracks wider than 0.3 mm, apply Crocodile Acrylic Seal Plus, then smooth the crack before painting.

Application

  • Thoroughly mix Ultimate Primer without dilution. (It is recommended to dilute with 5-10% clean water if the primer is too viscous.)
  • Apply Ultimate Primer with a brush, roller, or spray in one coat over the surface.
  • Allow it to dry for approximately 3 hours before applying the paint.

Estimated Coverage:

9-11 square meters per liter per coat (depending on paint film thickness, application method, and surface porosity).

* Theoretical coverage may differ from actual usage, not exceeding 20%.

Tool cleaning

  • Clean all equipment with clean water immediately after used.

Recommendation

  • Ultimate Primer should be used under suitable conditions.
  • Do not apply on wet surfaces or surfaces with humidity exceeding 40%.
  • Apply in well-ventilated areas and avoid inhalation of the product.

Cautions

  • It is recommended to wear safety equipment, such as gloves, dust masks, safety glasses or other safety equipment.
  • Use in a well-ventilated area and avoid inhalation.
  • In the event of eye contact, rinse your eyes with clean water several times immediately and seek medical advice promptly.
  • In case of contact with skin, wash it off with soap and water.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

Handling & Storage

  • Store products in a dry, good air ventilated, and cool place under shade.
  • Shelf life is 1 year if stored in good condition without opening.
