“Jorakay” Builds a Sustainable Future through Zero Waste Initiative — “Jorakay Upcycling” Year 4 Transforms Recycled Plastic Bottles into Eco-Friendly Student Furniture
Jorakay Corporation continues its commitment to sustainability with the “Jorakay Upcycling” Year 4, advancing a Zero Waste mission by transforming recycled plastic bottles into eco-friendly student desks and chairs. The project recycles the equivalent of 28,000 plastic bottles, reducing 577.36 kgCO₂e of greenhouse gas emissions. This initiative exemplifies Circular Economy principles, reducing waste and maximizing resource reuse for continuous value creation.
Under the leadership of Mr. Woraphot Tangmanuswong, Vice President - Marketing Division, Jorakay delivered 400 sets of eco-friendly desks and chairs to Saphan Sung District Office (Bangkok), government agencies in Saraburi Province, and 11 participating schools. The initiative aims to foster “Living Classrooms” that provide functional learning environments while promoting tangible understanding of recycling processes—instilling in Thai youth the importance of turning waste into valuable, sustainable products.
Jorakay reaffirms its dedication to building a sustainable foundation today for a better tomorrow, under the guiding vision: “Build Today, Beyond Tomorrow.”
