Primer for Old Concrete – Water Based

Crocodile Primer 9801W is formulated from Modified Silicate that designed to improve adhesion on new paint onto old concrete or chalky surfaces. It provides good adhesion and excellent alkali resistance so it is breathable film helps eliminate moisture more effectively. The product is water-based, low odor and environmentally friendly.

Application Instruction

Substrate Preparation

  • The surface must be dry and clean without dirt, oil, lubricant, paint, primer, and other stain
  • Old concrete surfaces that have been painted or coated with other materials should be scrubbed or scraped to remove the old coating completely.
  • Any damage to the surface should be repaired prior to application before coating.
  • In case of surface with fungi or algae, clean off by brush, or high water pressure sprayer, and then applied with antifungal and left dry before applying.

Application

  • Apply the product with brush, roller or spray for 1 layer
  • Let it dry least 3 hours before painting

Coverage

7-15 m2 per 1 liter. It depended on type and condition of the substrate.

Clean tools after use by water.

Suitable surface

  • Old concrete or chalky surfaces
  • Concrete, Polished cement
  • Skim coated walls, Plaster walls, Fiber cement,
  • Deteriorated/chalky old concrete
  • Drywall, gypsum board and every types of cement surface.

  • Crocodile Natural Paint (Biosphere Premium, Ecosphere Premium, GrafClean Premium, Stuki Premium)
  • Crocodile Color Cement

Suggestion

  • Do not apply on surface in constant contact with water or moisture
  • In case of rain, let the substrate dry before applying

Caution

  • Recommend to use rubber glove, dust masks, eye glass and personal safety equipment.
  • Apply with good ventilation. Do not inhale product.
  • In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with water and seek medical advice.
  • Keep away from children.

Storage

  • Keep away from direct sunlight.
  • The shelf life is approximately 1 year if stored off ground in original, sealed containers.
