Crocodile Road Fix Base

Application Instruction

Substrate Preparation:

1. The substrate must be in good condition. Any incomplete concrete, dirt, oil, and loose materials must be removed.
2. Clean the surface with a high-pressure water jet to remove all cement debris and oil stains.
3. Moisten the concrete surface thoroughly with water.
4. Before pouring the product, use a trowel or air blower to remove any standing water from the surface, ensuring no water

remains pooled.

5. If the surface is damaged and reinforcing steel is exposed, clean the steel by removing rust before proceeding.

Mixing Ratio

Crocodile Road Fix Base: Water = 1 Bag (25 kg) : 3.25 L (13%)

Mixing Method

1. Pour clean water into the mixing container up to 90% of the required water amount. Then gradually add Crocodile Road Fix Base into the container.
2. Mix with an electric mortar mixer at a speed of 500–1,000 rpm for approximately 3 minutes.
3. Add the remaining 10% of water and mix at a slower speed for about 1 more minute until the mixture is fully blended.
4. If mixing with aggregate, clean the aggregate thoroughly before mixing.
5. Do not add any other additives or materials.
6. Use the mixture within 30 minutes after mixing is completed, and do not add water to reuse the mixture.

Application Method

1. Pour the mixed Crocodile Road Fix Base onto the surface to be repaired, in a longitudinal direction to facilitate easier spreading.
2. Spread the product evenly using a squeegee. To achieve optimal performance, apply within 30 minutes of mixing and ensure the thickness does not exceed 50 mm.
3. In case a greater thickness is needed, it is recommended to add aggregate (size 3 / 8 inch or approximately 9 mm) about 30% by weight

(7-8 kg per 25 kg of Crocodile Road Fix Base).

4. For sloping surfaces, use wooden formwork at intervals to prevent the mortar from flowing.
5. Allow to set for approximately 40 minutes.
6. Use a high-pressure water jet (adjust the nozzle to spray) to wash out the cement laitance coating on the concrete surface until the sand grains are visible.
7. Use a trowel to squeegee the water from the surface completely, ensuring no water remains pooled.
8. Proceed to finish the concrete surface by applying the texture using Crocodile Road Fix Express.

Estimated Coverage

Approximately 9 kg/m2 at a thickness of 5 mm. It depends on the type and condition of the substrate. The exact consumption must be determined by means of a sampling of the work.

Tool Cleaning

Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after use.

Recommendation

• It should be used within 30 minutes after mixing.
• Should not be left exposed.
• For optimal performance, during the step of washing away the cement laitance coating on the surface, the water should be sprayed until the sand grains are visible before finishing the concrete surface with Crocodile Road Fix Express.

Caution

• Do not add more water. Excess water will affect the mechanical properties, such as the decrease of compressive strength and flexural strength, but the shrinkage will increase.
• Pouring the entire bag of Crocodile Road Fix Base into the mixing container at once may make mixing difficult and could potentially damage the mixing equipment.

Storage

• Keep in a cool, dry area, storage temperature should be 0-35 °C.
• Store products in a good air ventilated and cool place under shade.
• Shelf life is 6 months if the store is in good condition without opening.
