Gator Acrylic Sealant GP is a general purpose acrylic joint sealant. The product is a water-based formulation and solvent-free, therefore it does not cause corrosion to metal surfaces. It provides fast drying performance and excellent non-sag properties. Once cured, the sealant can be painted over to provide a neat and aesthetically pleasing finish.

The product is suitable for interior applications. It provides excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates including wood, concrete, ceramics, tiles, brick, plastered walls, and composite wood. In addition, the product is safe for users and environmentally friendly.

Application Instruction

Substrate preparation

  • The substrate must be clean, dry, and free from oil, dust, rust, grease, and other contaminants that may affect adhesion.

Application

  • Cut the nozzle tip and pierce the cartridge seal to the desired size according to the joint width. Then attach the nozzle to the cartridge.
  • Insert the Gator Acrylic Sealant GP cartridge into a sealant gun and apply with steady pressure.
  • Fill the joint completely with sealant and smooth the surface before the sealant fully cures.
  • Uncured sealant can be cleaned with a damp cloth. For cured sealant, excess material can be trimmed off using a knife.

Estimated Coverage

  • Approximately 3 meters per cartridge for a joint size of 1 × 1 cm.

Caution

  • Recommended application temperature: 5°C – 35°C.
  • Do not apply to extremely hot surfaces.
  • Do not apply on wet surfaces.
  • Not recommended for applications subject to continuous water immersion.
  • Not suitable for PE, PP, Teflon, and asphalt rubber surfaces.

Storage

  • Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, away from moisture and excessive heat, which may cause product deterioration.
  • The shelf-life of the unopened original packaging is 18 months from the manufacturing date.
