Crocodile Flexible Joint Mortar

Application Instruction

Surface Preparation:

1. The substrate must be in good condition. Any incomplete concrete, dirt, oil, and loose materials must be removed.
2. Clean the surface before applying Crocodile Flexible Joint Mortar.
3. In case of walls with high water absorption or exposed to excessive heat, dampen the surface slightly with water before application to reduce cracking caused by the substrate absorbing water from the product.

Mixing Ratio:

Crocodile Flexible Joint Mortar : Water = 1 bag (20 kg) : 4.4 L (22%)

Application

1. In case of small joints, groove the joint to a minimum size of 1 cm width × 1 cm depth.
2. In case of joints with a large size and depth greater than 2 cm, fill with Crocodile Backing Rod before applying the mortar.

3.Using a putty trowel, apply the mixed material into the joint, ensuring it is completely filled, and level the surface evenly.

4. Press the product firmly into the joint, then finish the surface by wiping with a damp sponge to achieve a smooth finish. The joint must be flush with the wall.
5. Allow to cure completely for at least 7 days before proceeding to the next steps.

Estimated Coverage:

5 meters (joint size 1 cm wide × 1 cm deep) per 1 kg of Crocodile Flexible Joint Mortar.

Recommendation

• Do not add more water than the recommended amount, as excess water will reduce mechanical properties, such as compressive strength and flexural strength.
• Once water has been added and mixing has begun, do not add more water if the viscosity increases, as this will significantly reduce the material’s properties and strength.
• Should not be used on surfaces that are underwater or constantly submerged.
• Do not mix the product with any other substances or materials.

Caution

• Appropriate safety equipment, such as gloves, dust masks, and safety goggles, etc.
• Use in well-ventilated areas and avoid inhalation.
• In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage

• Keep in a cool, dry area. The storage temperature should be 0-35°C.
• Avoid areas exposed to direct sunlight.
• Shelf life is 1 year if the storage is in good condition without opening.
