How to Use

Substrate Preparation:

New substrate:

• Allow the wall to fully dry for 28 days after plastering.
• Ensure that the surface is clean and free from dust, cement debris, and grease before applying Gator Skim Coat 102.

Old/Damaged Substrate:

• Prepare the surface by scrubbing off the deteriorated original color. If the surface has fungi and algae, apply Crocodile Biocidal Wash and leave it for 7 days to prevent reoccurrence.
• Restore the surface condition by applying at least one coat of cement primer to enhance adhesion (especially on dusty surfaces). Allow it to dry completely for 1-2 days before proceeding.

Application:

1. Open the lid, stir Skim Coat 102 Gator well and it is ready to use.
2. Apply Gator Skim Coat 102 with a steel or putty trowel on the desired surface area.
3. Allow the first layer to dry for at least 2-3 hours before applying the next layer (depending on weather condition.)
4. If the plastered surface is not smooth, use a sanding plate to polish it as needed once it has dried.
5. Allow the skim coat to dry for 24 hours, then apply the next layer of paint as desired.

Estimated Coverage:

0.5-1.5 kg / sq.m / 1 mm thickness (depends on the smoothness and porosity of the substrate

Recommendation:

• Protect the plastered area from high humidity or intense heat for at least 24 hours after application.
• Do not use Gator Skim Coat 102 for floor work.
• Avoid using in areas subject to constant immersion or high humidity.
• It is not recommended to leave the products exposed.

Caution:

• Use of rubber gloves, dust masks, eye protection, and other safety equipment is recommended.
• If contact with eyes occurs, flush immediately and repeatedly with water, and then contact the doctor immediately.
• Avoid contact with face skin. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage:

• It should be kept in a dry place and ventilated area
• Shelf life for 1 year since manufactured date.
