How to use

Substrate Preparation

• The substrate must be clean and free from loose particles, dirt, grease and traces of foreign material.
• For loose plaster areas, remove any defective materials and re-plaster the area.
• If the job site is hot or windy, dampen dry surfaces before application.

Mixing Proportion

Gator Skim Coat Sanded 3.6 kg per water 1 liter

Gator Skim Coat Sanded 2.8-3 parts: Water 1 part (by volume)

Estimated Coverage

1.3 kg / 1 sq.m (Thickness 1 mm)

Application

1. Mix Gator Skim Coat Sand with water according to the specified ratio and blend using a low‑speed drill mixer.
2. Apply the mixture onto the surface using a steel trowel in a thin, even layer. Each application can achieve a thickness of 1–6 mm.
3. For additional build‑up, apply a second layer after the first coat has dried for approximately 15–45 minutes.
4. For an even smoother finish, wet‑sand the surface with waterproof sandpaper after the skim coat has dried for 12–24 hours. The finished surface can be left exposed, painted, or further decorated with other materials such as waterproof coatings.

Caution

• Cement may cause skin irritation; appropriate protective equipment such as gloves, dust masks, and safety goggles should be worn.
• If the product comes into contact with skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water several times and seek medical attention promptly.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage

• It should be kept in a dry place, and the temperature is not too high
• Shelf life for 1 year since manufactured date in sealed condition.
