TIS 2701-2559 (2016)

Standard for Hydraulic Cement Grout

TIS 2701-2559 (2016) is a standard for hydraulic cement grout used for filling voids between concrete to concrete and concrete to steel structural elements. Typical applications include anchoring reinforcing bars and anchor bolts, grouting beneath machinery foundations, steel column bases, precast concrete column bases, beam bearing supports, and filling voids in precast structural components. It is also widely used in structural repair and strengthening applications. Hydraulic cement grout is specifically formulated to provide excellent flowability, non shrink performance, and the ability to penetrate confined or hard to access spaces, while developing high compressive strength after hardening. These characteristics make it suitable for construction, industrial, and structural engineering applications that require long term stability, strength, and reliability.

Products certified under this standard must pass both general characteristic and physical property tests in accordance with the requirements of the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI). These tests include flowability, mortar height change, and compressive strength. Such evaluations help ensure that the grout can completely fill voids, minimize air pockets, and effectively transfer loads between structural elements in accordance with design requirements.

Hydraulic cement grouts that comply with TIS 2701-2559 (2016) serve as an assurance of product quality and reliability. They are suitable for machinery foundation installations, anchor bolt grouting, structural joint filling, base plate support applications, and concrete repair works requiring high strength materials capable of efficiently transferring loads and maintaining structural integrity.

To achieve optimum performance, hydraulic cement grout should be selected according to the application requirements, void dimensions, and engineering specifications of each project. Different grout products are formulated with specific properties, including flowability, load-bearing performance, and expansion characteristics, enabling them to meet the diverse demands of construction and structural applications effectively.
