How to use

Substrate Preparation

• The substrate must be clean and free from loose particles, dirt, grease and traces of foreign material.
• For loose plaster areas, remove any defective materials and re-plaster the area.
• If the job site is hot or windy, dampen dry surfaces before application.

Proportion of Mixing

Grey: Gator Skim Coat Smooth 2.2-2.5 kg per water 1 liter or 2.1-2.5 part per water 1 part (by volume)

White: Gator Skim Coat Smooth 2.2-2.5 kg per water 1 liter or 2.2-2.5 part per water 1 part (by volume)

Estimated Coverage

1.25 kg / 1 sq.m (Thickness 1 mm)

Application

1. Mix the Gator Skim Coat Smooth with water according to the specified ratio and mix thoroughly using a low-speed drill.
2. Apply the mixture to the surface using a steel trowel to a desired thin and uniform thickness, ranging from 0.3 to 3 mm per coat.
3. For increased thickness, apply a second coat after the first coat has dried for 10-30 minutes.
4. For a smoother finish, lightly sand the surface with wet sandpaper after the skim coat has dried for approximately 12-24 hours. The surface can then be painted, or finished with other materials such as a waterproof coating.

Caution

• Cement may cause injury to skin or eyes. Use of rubber gloves, dust masks, eye protection, and other safety equipment is recommended.
• If contact with eyes occurs, flush immediately and repeatedly with water, and then contact doctor immediately.
• Keep out of reach of children
  

Storage

• It should be kept in a dry place and the temperature is not too high to avoid product’s degradation.
• Shelf life for 1 year since manufactured date.
